Library Ireland Week 2012 (12th - 16th November)


Library Ireland Week 2012 is the 7th year of Library Ireland Week  which celebrates and highlights the role of libraries, librarians and information professionals. Library Ireland Day will take place on the Wednesday 14th November.

Using the Library Website - Drop-in Practical Training Sessions

The library houses a huge collection of books, journals, multimedia and more - everything you need if you know where to look. The library website is the starting point for all your research needs.

Use the library website to: 

  • Search across both print and online collections using MultiSearch
  •  View and print exam papers  
  •   Renew your books online
  •  Reserve on-loan items or items available in other campuses
  •  Make Inter-Library Loan requests
  • Email queries to the Library

The sessions will: 

  • Provide an overview of the services provided on the library’s website  
  • Explain where to go on the website for those services

The following drop-in sessions will take place during the month of November. All sessions will take place in the IT Training Room in the library:

  • Wednesday 7th November 12:00 - 1:00pm 
  • Tuesday 13th November 3:00 - 4:00pm 
  •  Monday 19th November 1:00 - 2:00pm

    EndNote Web is an online bibliographic service which will help you to store and organise your references.

    Find out how to collect references quickly and easily from online sources (databases, library catalogues & web pages) and insert them into a Word document instantly using 'Cite While You Write'

    The following drop-in training sessions for Endnote Web are Scheduled for November in the Dublin Road Campus library:
