GMIT / NUIG Libraries Reciprocal Access Scheme:

This is a new arrangement with NUIG that we are piloting  this semester.

All current staff and research postgraduate students are now entitled to avail of access and borrowing privileges in NUIG Library.

You can now borrow 5 items for 2 weeks and also avail of online access to their electronic resources via 2 dedicated PCs located in the James Hardiman Library. (Onsite access only).

To avail of this service please apply 1 day in advance to GMIT Library.

Short Loan Books Now Held Behind the Issue Desk

Short Loan books are now held behind the issue desk at the Dublin Rd. campus

Books that are in high demand can only be borrowed for 24 hours - these books have a green '1 Day Loan' sticker on the spine of the book.

These items cannot be renewed - items that are returned late incure a fine of 20c per hour or part thereof.

Short loan books were previously shelved with the general collection but have recently been changed to behind the issue desk - Please come to the desk if you wish to borrow a Short Loan book.
