The National Mapping Agreement (NMA)

Staff at GMIT now have institutional to The National Mapping Agreement (NMA).

The National Mapping Agreement is an Irish agreement that gives government departments and public sector bodies unrestricted access to most of Ordnance Survey Ireland’s (OSi) geospatial data.

For those continuing to study, or if you need to return your books, GMIT libraries are open throughout the summer (excluding Letterfrack).

CCAM library display - ‘Altered Book’

Cluain Mhuire students participating in the year 2 "Book Arts" module have produced an amazing body of work for their ‘Altered Book’ project. 

Book-lovers will appreciate how these re-purposed tomes have gained a new lease of life, reflecting what many of us find when we first discovered reading: a fantasy world, a place of comfort, a field of challenging new ideas, a treasure trove, uncomfortable realities. 

 

These works of art are currently on display in the CCAM library - 

Call in and take a moment to appreciate another vision of reading.

Heads Up! ... simplifying library login

With the move to our new library system we are in the process of simplifying the way you login to the online library resources. The new login requires your GMIT email address and GMIT computer password as opposed to you student number and library PIN which you have been used to using.

This transition is a work in progress so you may be asked to login with either, depending on what you are trying to access through the online library.

Update on Easter Opening Hours

A quick update on opening hours in the Dublin Road Campus Library for Easter.

Week 1   

10^th – 13^th April

Monday – Thursday  9.30am –  5pm

Library closed Friday 14^th to Monday 17^th April

Week 2    

18^th – 22^nd April

Tuesday – Friday   9.30am –  9pm

Saturday                10am  – 5pm

·         The Maths Learning Centre will also be open during Easter from 1pm to 3pm, have a look at our calendar to see all the dates and times.

·         Normal opening hours will resume after Easter on Monday 24^th April with extended opening hours on Saturdays to 5pm.
