E-Books on trial for our Nursing Students

Clinical Skills Online explains how to prepare for a skill. It lists the equipment required to carry out a procedure and provides a step-by-step video demonstration of the skill. Each skill is accompanied by a short quiz. No passwords or usernames needed, just click on the link. On trial until the end of April. Remember free trials can only be used on campus.

WRONG ... everything is NOT on the web. And everything on the web is NOT free.

Many Library resources are now available via the web, but they are not freely available to everybody - The library pays for you to access the most appropriate resources based on reliability, relevance and value.

The Dictionary of Irish Biography is a collaborative project between Cambridge University Press and the Royal Irish Academy, available in print and online, involving 700 contributors and spanning 9,000 lives. The Dictionary is the indispensable reference work for Ireland. It includes the lives of Irish men and women who made a significant contribution in Ireland and abroad, as well as those born overseas who had noteworthy careers in Ireland from James Ussher to James Joyce, St Patrick to Patrick Pearse, St Brigit to Maud Gonne MacBride, Shane O'Neil to Eamon de Valera, Edward Carson to Bobby Sands.
