Former GMIT registrar, Bernard O’Hara will launch his new book
‘Killasser: Heritage of a Mayo Parish’, in the foyer of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology on Wednesday 26 October 2011 at 5pm.
The launch will be performed by Galway historian, Mr. Peadar O’Dowd.
Many will remember the talk given by Kieran Hickey during Library Ireland Week in GMIT Library on the history of wolves in Ireland. The book of his research has now been published and the official launch of ‘Wolves in Ireland: a natural and cultural history’, will take place at 6.00pm on Thursday 27 October 2011 in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop, The Cornstore, Middle Street, Galway. The book will be launched by Gordon D’Arcy, Naturalist, author and artist.
